2026-10-16: New: district and province data — the Provinces & districts module

• New: district and province data — the Provinces & districts module. Census 2023 for every province, district and tehsil: population by sex, rural and urban, growth since 2017, density, household size, literacy and out-of-school children. The Economic Census 2023 adds establishments and workforce by industry for every district. The Agricultural Census 2024 adds livestock, farms, tractors and tubewells by district. The Labour Force Survey 2024-25 (and 2020-21) gives employment and unemployment by province and sex. HIES 2024-25 (and 2018-19) gives household income and consumption by quintile. All from PBS; district figures add up exactly to each province's total.
• New: Energy & fuel. PSO pump prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene, LDO and jet fuel at every change since May 2006, checked twice a day. NEPRA monthly generation, utilization and capacity for every power plant since FY2017-18, plus generation by source (hydel, thermal, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, bagasse).
• New: Sindh mandi prices. Daily fruit and vegetable rates in 27 Sindh markets (from late August 2026) are in /v1/agri/* with province: "Sindh"; ?province= filters the market and commodity lists. See Wholesale prices.
• Fund NAVs: about 4,700 more missing NAVs filled from MUFAP's history, for funds whose history agrees with MUFAP's daily table. For three fund ids MUFAP's history endpoint serves another fund's series, so those funds keep their daily-table NAVs. New note field on funds: the three Alfalah Pension Fund II sub-funds, whose published NAV per unit fell towards zero from late 2025, now say so on /v1/funds/{id} and their fund pages.
• New: changelog page with an RSS feed (/changelog.xml), and the release calendar as a subscribable feed: GET /v1/calendar.ics (public), linked from the calendar.
• Every series now has a name of its own. About 1,500 SBP series shared a name with another series, e.g. the monthly and quarterly versions of one balance-of-payments item, or the same aggregate from the monetary survey and from the reserve-money table. They looked like duplicates whose numbers disagreed. Names now carry the qualifier that tells them apart: frequency, years covered, SBP table or unit, e.g. "… (weekly, Reserve Money RM)". GDP series whose names had lost their base year read "… at constant basic prices of 2015-16" again. Series ids are unchanged.

2026-10-14: Data-quality audit, checked against the publishers

• Data-quality audit, checked against the publishers. Stored history was re-read from the sources and compared point by point, and every unusual value the detectors flagged was settled at the source. PBS CPI/WPI, CPI by group and LSM match PBS exactly. Weekly SPI was compared against every annexure PBS still hosts. MUFAP PKRV, PKISRV and the full NAV history of every fund, the PTA indicators, the SBP payment-systems and SME reviews and a sample of AMIS mandi prices were re-read too. SBP EasyData series are now re-pulled in full on a rolling cycle. See sources & provenance.
• Fixed — PKRV yield curve, Apr-2022 to Sep-2024. Older MUFAP files are a panel of broker quotes. We stored one broker's quote instead of MUFAP's published average on 48 days (the long tenors; e.g. 10y on 1-Nov-2023 now reads 15.14, not 15.40), skipped a third layout entirely on 63 days, and showed 0.00% for 2y–20y on 2-Feb-2024. All 1,067 daily files are re-read: every PKRV and PKISRV point now matches MUFAP.
• Fixed — fund NAV histories. For a few newer funds, another fund's older history had been stored under the new fund (e.g. NAVs back to 1996 for a fund launched in January 2026); about 21,000 such points are removed. About 50,000 missing NAVs are filled (some older funds had only their recent daily NAVs), wherever MUFAP's history agrees with its own daily NAV table.
• Fixed — nine missing SPI weeks (PBS released them off the usual Thursday, around holidays) are added. City cost-of-living, grocery-basket and essentials-inflation series include them.
• Fixed — SBP EasyData series that had stopped updating: daily SCRA flows since July and some BOP-by-country months (the sync's freshness check never reached them), the CPI 12-month moving-average series (SBP's response wasn't valid JSON), and several deposit series SBP no longer publishes. Revisions SBP made to older points that our incremental sync had missed are now picked up.
• PTA telecom through August 2026, and Mar-2026 3G/4G cell sites corrected (they were swapped). The bulletin-era T-bill and PIB cut-offs lose six points that were really weighted-average yields. Two series had the wrong unit label (banking.npl.mfb.advances_other_sectors is PKR million; money.cost_borrower_microfinance_banks is rupees per borrower).
• New: meta.notes. A value confirmed as published but implausible (e.g. 100 times its neighbours) keeps the official figure and carries a note on the API response and the series page. See series.

2026-10-12: SME finance through June 2026 and the latest Payment Systems Review figures

• SME finance through June 2026 and the latest Payment Systems Review figures. SBP's site had stopped answering our server in August, so these reviews silently stopped updating; they now come in again. Where a later quarterly review restates an earlier quarter, the newest figure is kept (an older preliminary figure used to win).
• Debt-securities trades through September 2026. MUFAP changed its daily-trading PDF layout in mid-2026 and trades reported as "Non-Bats" were being skipped; June–September trades are now in /v1/securities/trades. (MUFAP published no July 2026 file.)
• Wholesale (mandi) prices cleaned: about 12,200 one-day price typos in the 2007–2026 AMIS history (e.g. a Rs 27,002 mint price between two days of Rs 2,500) are moved out of /v1/agri/* into a quarantine table; real price moves are untouched. New reports are checked nightly.
• SBP Monthly Statistical Bulletin, monthly: each new issue is now picked up automatically, keeping the bulletin series current and extending their revision history (first prints) every month.
• SBP EasyData updates arrive faster: the sync now checks each dataset against what we last pulled, so unchanged datasets aren't re-fetched and the daily allowance reaches more series.

2026-10-10: New pages: today's mandi rates with a page per commodity (price in every Punjab market and a year of

• New pages: today's mandi rates with a page per commodity (price in every Punjab market and a year of daily prices); the derived indicators hub with latest values and methods; the KIBOR & policy rate tracker and the grocery basket by city tools; module pages for public & external debt and headline indicators. Series with a revision history now show their largest revisions (first print vs today).
• New derived series: prices.grocery_basket.<city> — what a fixed month of household staples costs at PBS SPI prices, weekly from July 2023, national and 17 cities. See derived indicators.
• CPI through August 2026. PBS's historical indices file stopped at June; national, urban and rural CPI and WPI (index and YoY) for later months now come from PBS's monthly price-index reviews, at the same precision.
• Fix: T-bill and PIB auction cut-off yields. rates.auction.{tbill,pib}.* had been mixing in SBP's weighted-average yields for the same auctions; about 1,500 points now carry the cut-off yield. The spurious daily "revisions" this caused are removed from /revisions and ?vintage=.
• Fix: KIBOR series pages and the homepage KIBOR figure showed an old value as the latest (long daily series were read from the oldest end). Charts of series with several dims (KIBOR bid/offer, SPI by city) now plot one group — offer or national by default — instead of interleaving them.
• GET /v1/agri/latest takes market as well as commodity (every commodity's latest price in one market). GET /v1/status lists the wholesale-prices dataset.
• Money-market funds publish weekend NAVs ahead of time; the status page no longer shows a negative age, and fund-category yields stop at today.
• /methodology and /data-sources now redirect to sources & provenance.

2026-10-05: New data: daily wholesale (mandi) prices from Punjab AMIS

• New data: daily wholesale (mandi) prices from Punjab AMIS. About 135 grains, vegetables and fruits in about 140 markets, daily since May 2007 (fair-quality price), with each day's min and max from October 2026. New endpoints /v1/agri/markets, /v1/agri/commodities, /v1/agri/prices and /v1/agri/latest. See Wholesale (mandi) prices.
• Revision history back to 2008, on more series. We now read every SBP Monthly Statistical Bulletin issue SBP still hosts, 2005–2026 (258 issues, up from 177), including the 2026 issues. It also reads the bulletin's national-accounts tables (GDP by sector, provisional and revised). First prints and dated revisions now cover 70 series (about 8,800 first prints and 7,500 revisions), including exports and imports of goods and GDP. See Revision vintages.
• New: GET /v1/series/{id}/revisions (Pro+). Shows each point's first print, every figure it replaced (with the date and the publication), and today's value in one call.
• New series from the bulletin: monthly broad money (money.m2.monthly), 1-month KIBOR month-end and monthly average, monthly bank advances-to-deposits and investment-to-deposits ratios, and historical national CPI food, non-food and core (NFNE, trimmed-mean) inflation and old-base CPI levels. Each ships with its print history.
• New: derived indicators, a labelled layer computed from official series with a published formula. It includes the real policy rate and real KIBOR, KIBOR and T-bill spreads over the policy rate, the PKRV curve slope, months of import cover, 12-month remittances, essential-goods inflation by city, and money-market and equity fund-category yields. Derived series have source: PakDataHub and a derived object (method and inputs) on the catalog record and in meta. Available on every plan.
• Weekly SPI history back to July 2023, read from PBS's own archive list. The weekly city prices and the cost-of-living index now start in July 2023 (was June 2025); the cost-of-living index is rebased to the first week of the longer window.

2026-10-04: Revision history back to 2011

• Revision history back to 2011. ?vintage= now reaches years before our own tracking began: first prints and dated revisions for 39 headline series (USD/PKR, remittances, exports, reserves, CPI inflation, REER/NEER, bank lending and deposit rates, and more), read from every archived issue of the SBP's Monthly Statistical Bulletin. See Revision vintages.
• Fix: ?vintage= returned no data for past dates on series that are re-ingested (re-fetching an unchanged value used to look like a revision). Vintages now reflect only real changes.
• New data: daily interbank USD/PKR. fx.rate.m2m.usd (SBP's daily M2M revaluation rate) and fx.rate.interbank.usd (weighted-average bid/offer), plus weekly liquid FX reserves reserves.liquid.{total,sbp,banks} and the daily weighted-average overnight repo rate rates.repo.overnight. Accruing from October 2026.
• Full KIBOR history in the flagship ids. rates.kibor.{1w,2w,1m,3m,6m,9m,1y} now go back to June 2005 (bid/offer via dims=side:...); the discontinued 2-year and 3-year tenors are rates.kibor.2y / .3y (2005-2020). KIBOR is now dated by SBP's own "As on" date, so weekend copies of Friday's fixing are gone.
• New: Google Sheets & Excel functions. =PAKDATA(), =PAKDATA_LATEST(), =PAKDATA_SEARCH() and =PAKDATA_INFO() for Google Sheets; LAMBDA functions for Excel 365; a Power Query function for full history.
• Fix: GET /v1/series/{id}/latest honours dims (it returned every side) and accepts format=csv. CSV dims is now compact JSON ({"side":"offer"}), not a Python-style repr.
• Plans priced on value. Plans now differ by history depth, revision vintages, webhooks and the right to show data in your own product (Business). Paid request limits are fair-use ceilings. GET /v1/plans adds for, usage_rights, vintages, webhooks, sla, support and fair_use.
• Free plan: 500 API calls every month, resetting on the 1st (was a one-time allotment). GET /v1/usage adds usage.credits_reset.
• GET /v1/status adds totals (live series, active funds, AMCs, securities) — the counts the site and docs now use everywhere.
• Fix: the homepage wheat-flour figure now shows the national average, matching the chart.

2026-09-24: Docs restructured

• Docs restructured. One focused page per endpoint and per dataset. Every page is also available as raw Markdown by appending .md to its URL, and there are generated llms.txt, llms-full.txt and AGENTS.md files for AI tools.
• Fix: /v1/commodities?item= accepts wheat_flour, commodities.wheat_flour or the legacy commodity.wheat_flour. It had returned 404 for every form after the id rename.
• Fix: ?transform=yoy|mom|pct_change|3ma now fetches the partner points outside your from/limit window, so small windows no longer come back as nulls.
• Fix: /v1/usage reports minute_used from the live rate-limit window. It was always 0.
• Data: duplicate daily copies of auction cut-offs removed; each series now has one point per auction.
• Data: release-calendar entries now link to real series ids.
