Headline CPI inflation, urban and rural CPI by group, weekly essential-goods inflation and WPI.

Latest figures

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics measures inflation with the Consumer Price Index (CPI, base 2015-16), published for urban and rural Pakistan and combined into a national figure early each month. The headline inflation rate is the year-on-year change in national CPI.

PBS also prices 51 essential items every week in 17 cities (the Sensitive Price Indicator, SPI), from which PakDataHub derives weekly essential-goods inflation for each city, and publishes a monthly Wholesale Price Index. Core inflation and the long CPI history before 2016 come from the State Bank of Pakistan.
