Latest figures

The State Bank of Pakistan publishes the rupee's exchange rate against the US dollar and other currencies every business day, and monthly average and month-end rates going back to 1947 for the dollar and pound. The interbank rate is where banks trade dollars with each other; the M2M rate is SBP's daily revaluation rate.

The real effective exchange rate (REER) compares the rupee with Pakistan's trading partners' currencies after adjusting for inflation: above 100 means the rupee is stronger than in 2010 in real terms.
